Stars often appear all over a network for a day to promote a new movie or album, but Johnny's Jimusho idol group Arashi are to take over NTV for a whole week. The group are celebrating the 10th anniversary of their debut in November. To mark the occasion, various members of the group will appear on an estimated 50 hours of programming during a seven-day period. They'll make live appearances on the network's most popular variety and news shows and will perform their hits during a special live concert. The final dates have yet to be announced.
With the members of fellow Johnny's group SMAP now all into their 30's, Arashi have a strong hold on the teenage and young adult fan base. But although they have a string of No.1 hits, it was only with the recent release of a greatest hits album, "All the Best, 1999-2009" that they had their first million seller. The upcoming "hijacking" of the NTV network is to show that they are now established as major stars and, perhaps more than anything else, make it clear to corporate sponsors that they are the group of the moment. The five members of Arashi have also maintained a clean image, unlike that of SMAP, which has become a little tarnished by incidents over the years. Arashi are Ono Satoshi (28), Sakurai Sho (27), Aiba Masaki (26), Ninomiya Kazunari (26) and Matsumoto Jun (26).

Arashi's Aiba stars in television drama
Arashi member Masaki Aiba (26) is set to take on his first lead role in a drama series this fall. He will star in TV Asahi's "My Girl," his first series since "Yankee Bokou ni Kaeru" in 2003.
Aiba, who is more known for appearing in variety shows than in dramas, said that he wants to show his fans a "completely different Masaki Aiba" from his usual self.
"My Girl" is based on a manga by Mizu Sahara (an alternate pen name of mangaka Sumomo Yumeka), currently being serialized in Shinchosha's Weekly Comic Bunch. The comic is described as an "ultimate love story" about a young man named Masamune Kazama (Aiba). During high school, he had a girlfriend four years older than him, but she suddenly left one day. Six years later, he receives news that she has passed away. In addition, she secretly gave birth to Masamune's child, whom he finally meets and decides to raise.
TV Asahi will broadcast "My Girl" in its Friday 11:15pm time slot, starting in October.

I'm loving all the new pvs. This one is also beautiful and I love the slow motion screenshots.
Arashi singing in a circle with mics.
I love this shot. Everything in slow motion and the boys relaxed and enjoying a nice day out. And the sunset and the beach... <3 And Ohmiya lagging behind in their own little world. ;)

Before the day is over --
Otanjoubi omedetou, Nino! \(^0^)/
Nino's really cute in this interview. He said he would take Aiba's advice and just laugh when he doesn't know anything. Like he was doing with the director. Hey Hi :D :D :D It's hard to believe he can be a murderer with that smile but yeah I am totally convinced by his acting in his earlier movies. He could be scary.
I can't wait for these two pvs to come out!! Both look amazing in its own way. Everyone looks gorgeous!!
The dancing in here reminds me of their earlier dance steps. Kakkoi!
And that little moment of Jun's raspy rap in the background... *____* <3
So PRETTY~~
Arashi's Kazunari Ninomiya (25) and actress Mao Inoue (22) will co-star in a drama special on TBS. The story is based on two novels written by professional windsurfer Natsuki Iijima, who died of cancer in 2005.
During Iijima's battle with cancer, he wrote an essay titled "Gan ni Ikasarete," which formed part of the basis for the 2007 film "Tengoku de Kimi ni Aetara," a biography of Iijima that starred Takao Osawa and Misaki Ito. Around the same time, Iijima penned a novel also titled "Tengoku de Kimi ni Aetara," as well as a sequel titled "Kamisama ga Kureta Namida." The drama special is based on those two books, which sold more than 450,000 copies combined.
The drama is also being called "Tengoku de Kimi ni Aetara." Ninomiya plays the main character, a psychiatrist working in the counseling room of a cancer treatment center by the beach. While tending to the patients, part of his job involves taking dictation from them when they want to send a letter to a loved one.
Inoue plays the psychiatrist's wife and mother to the couple's twin daughters. Other cast members include Nobuko Miyamoto as a nurse, Yusuke Santamaria as a surgeon, and Naoto Ogata as the owner of a surf shop. The broadcast date for the drama has not yet been determined.

Complilation of all the news on Johnny's Calendars.
I don't know. It's still not as nice as last year's one.
